Nowab Grammar School, nestled in the heart of Aladipur, Rajbari Sodor, stands as a beacon of hope and education for underprivileged children in the region. Established in 2007 by Freedom Fighter S.M. Nowab, the school has been lovingly sustained by his family ever since.
Today, nine dedicated teachers serve 218 students from pre‑primary to Class Five. Most of these children come from low‑income families in nearby villages and communities. Their average monthly income is approximately BDT 6,000–9,000, which is often barely sufficient to support a household of 4–5 members.
A significant number of parents earn their livelihood in and around the jute mills of Rajbari, while others work as small‑scale farmers, grocery shop workers, day laborers, rickshaw pullers, CNG drivers, and other informal occupations. Despite these challenges, families remain committed to their children’s education, and the school continues to provide a nurturing environment where students can learn, grow, and dream of brighter futures.
